A start-up photography website founded in 2014. Based in Northumberland, North East England, the website was initially an outlet for the owner’s hobby and passion. However over time their photographic portfolio grew and their interests expanded, and it quickly became apparent that they needed a new content managed (CMS) website to efficiently administer and publish their photographic collections.
However professional photography is a highly competitive industry and there were a multitude of other things that needed to be addressed to effectively convey and distinguish the owner’s experience and credibility to their keen global audience.
About this project
By working closely with the business, a start-up based in Northumberland, we developed a whole new website and a slick new logo design, both of which best reflected the modern high quality photography on display. We developed an eye-catching colour scheme and beautiful animated transitions that really catch the eye when navigating through the website.
The website is responsive so it automatically always look great no matter what Internet browser or device a visitor is using (desktop, tablet or smartphone), and it was built on our unique content management system (CMS) so it can quickly, easily and cost effectively be kept up-to-date by the owner moving forwards.
Other notable features include dynamic photographic portfolios that are filterable by keyword, customised graphics (including an original ‘favicon’ for the top navigation bar), social media integration on every page, and we removed the ability to ‘right click’ to help protect image copyright.
Every Zealous Web Design website is optimised for the major search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo) and once a full sitemap was submitted we set up visitor analytics and undertook one-on-one training with the owner to ensure they were 100% happy and confident using their sparkly new content management system.
