What is a domain name?
This is the name by which your organisation and website will be known and found on the Internet, ours is www.zealouswebdesign.co.uk. Every page on a website has a unique address or URL (‘Uniform Resource Locator’) which is linked to your domain name. For example, www.zealouswebdesign.co.uk/contact-us.
Can I keep my current domain name?
How much will it cost?
This depends on the size and complexity of your project. For example, how many pages you need, whether you provide images and text, if any advanced functionality is required (shopping cart, online chat, booking calendar etc.). Are there monthly fees?

What will happen to my email?
Most clients transfer their email services to us &/or set up new personalised email addresses with us as this allows them to benefit from the advanced spam filtering technology on our reliable and fast UK based email servers.
Do I need special software to edit my website?
No. You can edit your website in any modern web browser, including Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox or Safari. You can edit your website wherever you are in the world; all you need is a computer, smartphone or tablet with a web browser and an internet connection.
How can I improve my ranking in search engine results?
A vital component of marketing your business online is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Our staff will review your website and research your market and target audience to ensure they have appropriate metadata. Will my website be secure?

How long does it take to create a new website?
This depends upon the size and complexity of your project, whether you provide images and text, if a shopping cart or databases are required etc. We always endeavour to deliver within pre-agreed timescales. As a reference, a standard website typically takes between two and six weeks to design, test and launch but we can launch an entirely new website in as little as three days.
What happens after my website goes live?
We will continue to test your website to ensure everything functions as expected. If required we will provide client training. For instance how to take online payments, how to register am employee on your website or set up a new business email address. Can I sell products/services online without a credit card agreement or a card terminal?
Yes. This can be achieved by subscribing to PayPal or Intuit and by integrating a shopping cart on your website. There is no need for an expensive credit card merchant agreement or physical machine.
